Policy Positions
We believe in a democratic order which entails promotion of the following principles and values :
  • Upholding the supremacy of the law.
  • Addressing the basic needs of all our people by providing adequate housing, water supply, transportation, personal security and free primary health care.
  • Provide free and compulsory education from pre-school to grade ten or age sixteen.
  • Promote a relevant educational system that puts a high premium on the teaching of science and technology and encourages the acquisition of skills suitable for the development needs of the country i.e. industry, commerce, agriculture etc.
  • Abolish the right to bail for crimes such as murder, rape, drug-trafficking, armed robbery and child molestation, and ensure an efficient and expeditious justice system for the country.
  • Work tirelessly to uproot corruption in all its manifestation among government officials by subjecting them to random and regular financial audits.
  • Provide for social benefits based on a minimum living wage for all pensioners and adequately address the issue of a social wage for the unemployed.
  • Encourage the establishment of a democratic, independent and conscientious working class movement that maintains a high level of productivity and discourages the notion that unionisation equals lack of discipline.
  • Reduce the number and status of "governments" as presently constituted into fewer provinces whose chief responsibility will be to carry out central government policies and directives.
